Kit Components P300 Performance Engine Spec

The advanced kit contains all the parts that are needed for the construction of the Pioneer 300, apart from the engine and accessories, instruments, propeller and inner fittings that will be supplied separately to meet personal standards.  You can therefore build the whole aircraft according to your own personal tastes, expectations and budget.  The fuselage is coated with a composite material and all other parts are in plywood and Dacron.

Construction manual and assembly drawings

The wood species used for the airframe is Norway Spruce, a grade of spruce with exceptional strength and stiffness. During the design of the 300, the actual species was not known, so conservative estimates were used for stress analysis. As a result the material allowances were significantly less than those realised in practice, hence, an aeroplane stronger than the designer expected.
